Welcome to Giftogether. These terms apply when you use the Giftogether website and app to create wishlists, share shopping lists, plan gifts and track purchases. By using Giftogether you agree to these terms.

Your account

You need an account to create and manage lists. Keep your sign-in details safe, and use an account name and details you are allowed to use. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account.

Your content

Your lists, people, items, receipts and other content belong to you. You give us permission to store it and use it as needed to run the app, for example reading a receipt photo or filling in an item from a link. Content you share with your household or a group is visible to the people you share it with, so only share what you are comfortable with.

Sharing and groups

Giftogether helps people coordinate gifts. Shared lists, reservations and gift exchanges depend on the honesty of the people you invite. We provide the tools, but we are not responsible for whether someone actually buys a gift, shows up to an exchange, or keeps a surprise.

Shopping and purchases

Giftogether tracks what you plan and buy, but we do not sell products and we are not a party to any purchase you make with a store. Prices shown in the app come from store pages and product lookups and may be out of date or differ by region, so check the store before you buy.

When you follow a store link from Giftogether, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Outbound links are marked as sponsored where required.

Automated features

Some features use automated services, including reading receipt photos and looking up product details from links. These are helpers, not guarantees. Double check the items and prices the app fills in before you rely on them.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Giftogether to harass anyone or to collect other people's information without their knowledge.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, including other people's photos or personal details.
• Do not try to access other people's lists, break the app, or use it to send spam or malware.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Giftogether available and reliable, but the service is provided as is, without promises that it will always be uninterrupted or error free. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we make a significant change, we will let you know in the app.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Giftogether and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account if it breaks these terms or harms other users. If your account ends, your content may be deleted and may not be recoverable, so download anything you want to keep first.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Giftogether is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data, missed gifts, or disputes with stores, family members or group members. Our total liability related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, which is usually zero because Giftogether is free.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use Giftogether after a change means you accept the updated terms.
